Submissions

All unpublished work will be considered.

Texts: In keeping with the values of original Little Review, we are interested in radical work that pushes the boundaries of the possible in all genres and modes of writing, though we are particularly interested in theory-fiction, broadly defined, new poetry, prosimetra, works defying generic classification, and criticism focused on aesthetics, politics, and cultural issues of the day. We will also accept proposals for reviews of newly published works, significant cultural events, and art. FOOD

Though we, as a rule, do not accept genre fiction, such works will be considered if they significantly engage with the above themes.

We will consider manuscripts in any language, so long as they are accompanied by a translation into English, French, or Spanish.

We will consider proposals for serialization of longer works, however, we will require submission of the entire manuscript.

Translations: We will consider original translations, though copyright permissions must be secured by the translator.

Art: As a general rule, we accept any sort of visual art for publication. New artists are particularly encouraged to apply.

Chess and Haiku Compositions: We will publish on a limited basis chess problems coupled with a haiku that reflects the significance, beauty, or uniqueness of the submitted problem. . We accept both canonical and new compositions. Chess problems and haiku may be submitted separately.

Payment: Though we are a newly-established journal with limited funds, we firmly believe in the importance of paying contributors for their labor. For initial issues of The Little Review, we are offering all authors accepted for publication an honorarium of $5, with a contractual promise to offer additional remuneration at market prices when we are more firmly established.

Make it stand out.

Dream it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
